It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.
Should you draft Ty Jerome this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Memphis Grizzlies Point Guard.

Should You Draft Ty Jerome in Fantasy Basketball?
Ty Jerome joins the Memphis Grizzlies after signing a three-year, $28 million contract this offseason. This comes after he delivered a strong 2024-25 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 12.5 points, 3.4 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.6 3-pointers, 1.1 steals, and just 1.3 turnovers while shooting 51.6% from the field, 43.9% from deep, and 87.2% from the free-throw line, all in just 19.9 minutes per game.
It’s also worth noting that Jerome thrived when he was inserted into Cleveland’s starting lineup last season. Across three starts, he averaged 25.7 points, 5.0 assists, 5.0 3-pointers, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks in 27.0 minute per game, while shooting 56% from the field, 60% from 3, and 100% from the free-throw line. While it’s a small sample size, it’s good to know that Jerome can rise to the occasion if his role increases.
Given his efficient scoring and shooting splits, Jerome’s fantasy appeal hinges on his playing time and role on the Grizzlies. Ja Morant and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be the backcourt starters for Memphis, and Jerome will be competing with rookie Cedric Coward and Scotty Pippen Jr. for reserve minutes. Caldwell-Pope is coming off of a down year in which he shot just 34.2% from 3, so there’s a world where those struggles continue and Jerome moves into the starting lineup. Regardless, Jerome has shown the ability to produce despite limited minutes and touches, so he’s an intriguing mid-to-late-round option for fantasy managers.
