Kerr was a recent guest on the Bay Area’s local Willard & Dibs podcast. While discussing the Warriors, Kerr revealed that he isn’t exactly pleased with his team’s early-season schedule. Kerr said, ” The Miami game will be our 17th game in 29 days in 13 different cities. It’s been the toughest early schedule I’ve ever been a part of in my entire NBA life.”
The Warriors are currently in seventh place in the Western Conference overall standings with a 9-6 record. Kerr’s frustration with the team’s early schedule may be related to the fact that the team is undefeated at home yet 4-6 on the road. The team is currently on a six-game road trip and has won its last three games.
After starting their road trip with a loss to the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors have two road wins over the San Antonio Spurs and defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in their most recent game, 124-106. The team is now preparing for their Florida swing, with upcoming games against the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat.

Kerr is likely frustrated with the schedule due to the Warriors’ veteran-laden roster, specifically their trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler III, and Draymond Green. The Warriors have the second-oldest roster in the NBA, and the frequent travel across time zones may cause tired legs.
Despite the team’s veteran core, they still have young players such as Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski, and rookie second-round pick Will Richard making meaningful contributions.

The influx of young talent is why the Warriors remain ranked in the top half of the league in pace, despite having an older roster.
