Some people are wondering how much longer Stephen Curry will play in the league, given his age and injury concerns. The Golden State Warriors star himself has spoken up to address these questions.

Stephen Curry Addresses Retirement Questions on His 38th Birthday
Curry turned 38 on Saturday (March 14) and is in the midst of his 17th season in the league. His age and the miles he’s logged have taken a toll on his body, limiting him to only 39 games this season.
Questions regarding how much longer he’ll remain in the league have arisen, with many believing he’s close to the end of his career. While that may be true, the Warriors star himself isn’t thinking about hanging up his sneakers.
When asked about what would determine whether he’ll decide to retire, here is what he had to say:
“Just what it takes to get ready for a game is a lot different now than it was a decade ago. When I’m out there on the court right now, I still get lost in the fun. It’s still my happy place,” Curry said. “All the work is worth it because I get to go out there and hoop at the highest level.”
“The competition, the camaraderie, chasing something that matters, that still gets me going,” he added. “I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.”

Curry remains sidelined this season, having been out since the end of January. He’s already missed 16 straight games, with no clear timeline for his return. Despite his injuries and his team’s current predicament, he seems determined to return and help his team end the season on a high note.
NBA insider Shams Charania reported last week that Curry would miss at least 10 more days, a span covering five games for his team. While that isn’t what his team or the fans want to hear, the report also stated that he has started getting back into on-court workouts.
The Warriors are still in the playoff race, sitting in ninth place with a 32-34 record in the Western Conference. With the current circumstances, it seems like Curry and company are bound for the play-in tournament. Their success in it, and whether they’ll make a real splash in the playoffs should they advance, rests on whether Curry is healthy.
