Is Stephen Curry Playing Tonight? Latest Injury Update on Warriors for Thunder Game

Will Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry play against the Oklahoma City Thunder, here's all you need to know.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are a match made in heaven. Curry has won two league MVPs, 11 All-Star selections, two All-Star MVPs, two three-point contests, led the league in scoring twice, and has led the Warriors to four championships since 2015, with his lone Finals MVP coming in 2022.

This highlights Curry’s importance to the team. Now, as the Warriors face the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, obviously, the biggest question is whether Curry will suit up.

Will Stephen Curry Play Tuesday Night?

Curry has missed the last three contests because of illness. The Warriors went just 1-2 over that stretch, which included a 129-104 loss to another major Western Conference contender, the Denver Nuggets.

However, the Warriors got good news on Monday evening – Curry is expected to play against the Thunder on Tuesday night.

“Steph Curry is cleared to return tomorrow night in Oklahoma City,” reported Anthony Slater of ESPN. “Not listed on the injury report at Thunder. Al Horford is questionable on front side of the back-to-back. Warriors at Spurs on Wednesday. Horford will miss one of the games.”

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr also said he expected Curry back on Tuesday.

Curry is not listed on the Warriors’ injury report and is expected to play. Al Horford is listed as questionable for Tuesday, with reports indicating he will sit out one of the Warriors’ back-to-back games. De’Anthony Melton remains out with a torn ACL.

Curry is having another strong season. The 37-year-old is averaging 26.8 points, 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

The Thunder will be without Luguentz Dort (upper trap strain), Aaron Wiggins (adductor strain), Kenrich Williams (knee surgery), Nikola Topic (testicular surgery), and Thomas Sorber. Jalen Williams continues to be ruled out due to wrist surgery.

The Thunder enter the game with a league-best record of 10-1, while the Warriors are 6-5.

The Warriors and Thunder will tip off from the Paycom Center at 8:00 ET Tuesday night. The game will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
