Jonathan Kuminga spent the first four and a half seasons of his NBA career playing for the Golden State Warriors.
The 2022 NBA Champion was recently traded to the Atlanta Hawks.
He is in the middle of a year where he has averages of 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 32.1% from three-point range in 20 games.

Following the trade, a report came out from ESPN’s Anthony Slater that caught a lot of attention on social media.
Via Bleacher Report: “Golden State reportedly alerted Kuminga that a person around him was “taking too much food from the family room”, per @anthonyVslater Sources surrounding the situation said the relationship between Kuminga and the organization “had become ‘petty'” and “should’ve ended years before””
Following the report, Steph Curry left a comment supporting his former teammate (h/t NBA Central).
Curry wrote: “I’m sorry bro. This is ridiculous Go be great!”

Kuminga was the seventh pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
His career averages are 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest while shooting 50.3% from the field and 33.1% from three-point range in 278 games.
He has also appeared in 38 NBA playoff games (four starts).

Kuminga is leaving a Warriors franchise that is coming off a season where they lost to Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (in five games).
They are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 29-26 record in 55 games.
On Thursday (February 19), the Warriors will host the Boston Celtics at the Chase Center.

On the other side, Kuminga joins a Hawks team that is coming off a year where they lost to the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat in the play-in tournament.
They are currently the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 26-30 record in 56 games.
On Thursday (February 19), the Hawks will visit Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.
