The LeBron James sweepstakes remains ongoing as of Wednesday afternoon. As it currently stands, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Golden State Warriors appear to be his top potential landing spots.
The entire NBA world is waiting on his decision, and the rumors about where he will go continue to intensify by the minute.
NBA Insiders Share Latest on Warriors’ Pursuit of LeBron James
NBA insider Sam Amick appeared on KNBR in the Bay Area to talk about what he has heard regarding James’ plans. What he had to say may be a letdown to Warriors fans.

“I’ve had Miami tell me it’s Cleveland,” Amick said. “I’ve had Cleveland tell me it’s Miami. And the Warriors have seemingly had a lot of pessimism recently.”
Per Amick, the Cavs are telling him LeBron is heading to Miami, while the Heat say he is going to Cleveland. Meanwhile, the Warriors have pessimism.
That pessimism does not technically rule out James still deciding to head to Golden State. What it does do, however, is point to the world of unknowns surrounding James as he keeps everyone waiting.
Warriors fans were given more frustration when NBA insider Marc Spears declared Golden State feels like a “dark horse” to land James.

The LeBron-to-Golden State connection does make sense. He is openly friends with Draymond Green, and the two were recently spotted golfing together in Puerto Rico.
Steph Curry even went on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday morning to share his pitch to LeBron. Curry still pitching LeBron on San Francisco should make fans somewhat optimistic, even after these reports.
The Warriors remain an intriguing destination given James’ history with the franchise. He and the Cavaliers faced the Warriors in four consecutive NBA Finals, with Cleveland taking one in 2016.
Fans in Cleveland are left wondering if he would really join the team’s former bitter rival, even if it has been a decade since those epic showdowns.
Amick and Spears join many other NBA insiders in doing their best to figure out anything regarding James’ future. Warriors fans won’t love what they had to say, but fans know nothing is for certain until James makes his announcement.
