BREAKING: Pistons, Bucks Complete Surprise 3-Player Trade

Two Central Division rivals, the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks, completed a three-player trade on Tuesday evening.

It’s always interesting to see two division rivals complete a trade, and that’s what happened on Tuesday evening between the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks.

Detroit sent guard Caris LeVert and two second-round picks to the Bucks for Taurean Prince and Gary Harris. Milwaukee is adjusting its lineup after dealing Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat, while the Pistons are trying to bolster their roster to win now.

Milwaukee, Detroit Agree to 3-Player Deal

ESPN’s NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news of the trade in a post on X.

“The Detroit Pistons are trading Caris LeVert and two second-round picks to the Milwaukee Bucks for Taurean Prince and Gary Harris, sources tell ESPN,” Charania wrote. “Pistons will create a trade exception from the deal and savings while Bucks acquire LeVert and pick up assets.”

The 2025-26 NBA season was LeVert’s first with the Pistons. In 60 games, he averaged 7.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. LeVert shot 41.7% from the floor and 33.3% from beyond the 3-point arc.

He started his NBA career playing five seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, then spent a season-plus with the Indiana Pacers, three-plus seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and half of a season with the Atlanta Hawks. Over the course of his NBA career, LeVert has averaged 13.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.

LeVert was a first-round pick (No. 20 overall) in the 2016 NBA Draft after playing his college ball with the Michigan Wolverines.

Prince averaged 9.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 26 games for the Bucks last season. He was also a first-round draft pick (No. 12 overall) in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Baylor.

Harris played just one season with Milwaukee, averaging 2.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 44.2% from the floor. Prior to his lone season with the Bucks, he played for the Denver Nuggets and the Orlando Magic.
