Tyrese Haliburton might be sidelined due to injury, but he’s far from out of the game. Just weeks after suffering a devastating Achilles injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the Indiana Pacers star was spotted courtside supporting the Indiana Fever as they faced the Los Angeles Sparks.
While fans couldn’t help but notice the bulky medical boot on his left leg, it was his presence — and what it symbolized — that truly stood out, as he showed the same support Fever star Caitlin Clark showed the Pacers all season long.
Tyrese Haliburton Shows Up Courtside in Support of the Fever
Saturday night’s WNBA matchup between the Fever and Sparks ended in a narrow 89–87 victory for the Sparks. But before the final buzzer, Haliburton’s appearance in a leg boot quickly stole attention across social media.
The All-Star guard was seen seated courtside, cheering on Indiana’s WNBA squad despite still recovering from Achilles surgery, which he underwent shortly after tearing the tendon during Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The injury happened in the first quarter of the title-deciding game, in which the Pacers fell 103–91 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in one of the most heartbreaking losses in franchise history.
Though visibly restricted by a medical boot that stretched nearly to his knee, Haliburton didn’t let that stop him from showing up for the Fever, mirroring the way Fever star Clark had been a constant courtside presence during Pacers home games throughout the 2025 NBA playoffs.

It’s a role reversal of sorts. Throughout the NBA playoffs, Clark was regularly spotted at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, loudly backing Haliburton and the Pacers during their Cinderella run to the Finals. On Saturday, Haliburton returned the favor, showing support even as Clark remained sidelined with a lingering groin injury.
Clark, who hasn’t played since late June, was officially ruled out for a fifth straight game. Her absence continues to weigh on the Fever, now sitting at 9–9 after Saturday’s loss. Meanwhile, the Sparks snapped their two-game losing streak. They had also snapped a four-game overall losing streak with a win against the Fever earlier in June.
Haliburton’s public appearance Saturday followed another show of support just a day earlier. On Friday, the 25-year-old was seen at the Ascension St. Vincent Center, watching the Pacers’ Summer League squad run through practice. His right leg was still booted, but the Pacers star looked engaged and upbeat as rehab awaits.

That same energy carried into the weekend. On July 4, Haliburton was spotted enjoying the holiday with longtime girlfriend Jade Jones, attending a local concert despite his injury. Photos from the event show the NBA star sitting comfortably with Jones by his side, embracing normal life even in the wake of a crushing Finals exit.
