Kanter last played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season, averaging 3.7 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Boston Celtics in 35 games.
George will make his debut for the Celtics later this year after being traded there this summer. He played 37 games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, recording 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.

When he announced his intention to enter the draft on Aug. 9, Kanter called for the WNBA’s rules to be applied “equally, consistently and without exception.”
