On Sunday night, the Sacramento Kings played the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

The Kings lost by a score of 117-103.

Russell Westbrook finished the loss with eight points, seven rebounds, ten assists and three steals while shooting 4/13 from the field and 0/3 from three-point range in 28 minutes of playing time.

Westbrook had come into the night with averages of 14.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 36.7% from three-point range.

The former UCLA star signed with the Kings right before the start of the 2025-26 season.

With their loss to the Timberwolves, the Kings fell to 6-20 in 26 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak (and 3-12 in 15 games away from Sacramento).

Following the Timberwolves, the Kings will play their next game on Thursday night when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.

Westbrook was the fourth pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.

He spent the first 17 seasons of his career playing for the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets.

The nine-time All-Star has career averages of 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 30.7% from three-point range in 1,262 games.

On the other side, the Timberwolves are now 17-9 in 26 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Following the Kings, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Wednesday night when they host Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center.
