LeBron James is headed to the Philadelphia 76ers in a blockbuster move that will see him link up with Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid.
The 41-year-old was a free agent after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers at the end of last season, and has opted in favor of a move to Philly instead of a possible return to the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.

James’ move to Philadelphia will have big ramifications on the entire Eastern Conference. The Heat and the Cavaliers wanted to bring James back ahead of his 24th season in the NBA, but he opted for a new challenge.
Announcing his move to Philadelphia, James said he was ready to step away from the NBA but was inspired by the prospect of leading the 76ers to the championship. He will sign a two-year, $8 million contract with the 76ers.

Despite his move to Philly, James said that he will always have love for Miami and will always consider Cleveland his home. James heads into his 24th season after an impressive final year in Los Angeles.

He averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game last season and raised his level further during the playoffs, leading the Lakers to the second round.
