NBA Star Michael Porter Jr. Makes Heartfelt Post After Nets-Nuggets Game

Michael Porter Jr. made a post to Instagram after the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Denver Nuggets.

On Thursday evening, the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 107-103.

Michael Porter Jr. finished his return to Denver with 38 points, ten rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 13/28 from the field and 7/15 from three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

After the game, Porter Jr. made a heartfelt post to Instagram.

Porter Jr. is in his first season with the Nets after seven seasons with the Nuggets.

The 2023 NBA Champion is currently averaging 25.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 48.2% from the field and 39.8% from three-point range in 38 games.

With their loss to the Nuggets, the Nets dropped to 12-34 in 46 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are in the middle of a seven-game losing streak (and 1-9 over their last ten).

Following the Nuggets, the Nets will play their next game on Friday when they visit the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.

Porter Jr. was the 14th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Nuggets.

His career averages are 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 49.7% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range in 383 games.

As for the Nuggets, they are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 32-16 record in 48 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games.

Following the Nets, the Nuggets will host the LA Clippers on Friday evening in Denver.
