The NBA’s free-agency period has been underway for more than a month, but some notable names have yet to sign, including Jalen Duren, James Harden, and DeMar DeRozan.
Here is a ranking of the top 20 players still on the market, along with multiple potential landing spots for each.
20) Ochai Agbaji, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Brooklyn Nets
Ochai Agbaji’s best season as a pro came in 2024-25 with the Toronto Raptors, averaging 10.4 points per game while shooting 49.8% from the field and 39.9% from 3-point range on four attempts per game.
This past season, he took a slight step back before being traded to the Brooklyn Nets, where he averaged 6.7 points in 16.2 minutes per game. Heading into his age-26 season, Agbaji could provide teams with another solid scoring option off the bench.

19) Andre Jackson Jr., G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Milwaukee Bucks
Andre Jackson Jr. failed to take the third-year leap that Milwaukee Bucks fans hoped for in 2025, averaging just 2.4 points in 8.5 minutes per game. However, he is still only 24 years old and has shown flashes of becoming a real rotational guard.
In 2024, Jackson appeared in 67 games and started 43 for Milwaukee, shooting 47.7% from the field and 39.5% from 3-point range. Heading into next season, a rebuilding team may be willing to take a chance on him to see if he can develop into a more consistent contributor.

18) Aaron Holiday G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Houston Rockets
Aaron Holiday has been a key part of the Houston Rockets’ rotation over the last three seasons. Holiday is a solid ball handler, reliable defender, and highly efficient 3-point shooter, as evidenced by his 38% shooting from beyond the arc over that span.
With Fred VanVleet returning from injury and Houston selecting Bruce Thornton at No. 31 overall in the NBA Draft, re-signing with the Rockets appears unlikely. Expect other organizations to show interest in Holiday in the coming weeks.

17) Tony Bradley C, UFA
2025-26 Team: Atlanta Hawks
Tony Bradley only appeared in just three regular-season games for the Atlanta Hawks after being traded from the Indiana Pacers at midseason. In 38 games with Indiana, he averaged 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game while shooting 55.7% from the field.
Bradley could sign a minimum contract and serve as a backup or third-string center for teams in need of frontcourt depth.

16) Kevin Love, F/C, UFA
2025-26 Team: Utah Jazz
Kevin Love hasn’t played meaningful NBA minutes in over two years, but that doesn’t mean he can’t help a contender in 2026. In a limited role with the Utah Jazz last season, Love still proved he could stretch the floor and rebound effectively, shooting 37.3% from 3 while averaging 5.8 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game.
Some have speculated Love could join LeBron James in Philadelphia, while others believe he could return to Cleveland for his 19th (and potentially final) NBA season. Even if Love doesn’t see consistent minutes, his leadership and veteran presence could still make him a worthwhile addition for contending teams.

15) Jalen Pickett, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Denver Nuggets
Jalen Pickett is one of the best shooters still available on the market, and one of the better on-ball defenders despite standing just 6-foot-2. In 2024-25, Pickett ranked first among qualified guards in defended field goal percentage (DFG%) and has shot better than 38% from three-point range in each of the past two seasons.
Playoff teams can never have enough shooting and perimeter defense, and entering his fourth NBA season, Pickett has the ability to provide both on a low-cost deal.

14) Nick Richards, C, UFA
2025-26 Team: Phoenix Suns
Behind Jalen Duren, Nick Richards is the second-best center still available on the market. After averaging just 3.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 9.1 minutes with the Phoenix Suns, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls prior to the trade deadline. In 20 games with the Bulls, he averaged 9.4 points and 7.6 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game.
He has shown flashes throughout his career when given playing time, and several contenders are still looking for frontcourt depth, so Richards could fill that role on a one-year deal.

13) Trendon Watford, G/F, UFA
2025-26 Team: Philadelphia 76ers
Trendon Watford is reportedly nearing a deal to play basketball overseas this upcoming season, but that doesn’t necessarily mean his NBA career is over. Two years ago, the point-forward averaged 10.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 20.8 minutes per game with the Nets.
At just 25 years old, a strong season in Spain could quickly lead to another NBA opportunity for Watford.

12) Seth Curry, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Golden State Warriors
When Seth Curry is on the floor, he provides a level of spot-up shooting that few others can match. In 2025, he joined his brother Stephen on the Warriors, but the experiment failed after he played just 10 games. The year prior, with the Charlotte Hornets, he appeared in 68 games and led the entire league in three-point percentage at 45.6%.
Curry does have some limitations, as he turns 36 in August, but his age also means he is likely willing to accept a minimum-level contract. Organizations in need of long-range shooting should consider taking a chance on the veteran sniper.

11) Gabe Vincent, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Atlanta Hawks
Gabe Vincent seriously struggled to shoot the ball at an efficient clip last season. However, thanks to his connective passing and feisty defense, he still managed to see solid minutes for the Lakers and eventually the Hawks, averaging 15.5 minutes per game in Atlanta’s first-round series.
The Miami Heat, who are mentioned in just about every conversation surrounding free agent guards, could look to reunite with Vincent. Erik Spoelstra has shown major confidence in him in the past, and a return to Miami could give Vincent an opportunity to provide spot-up shooting while rebuilding his reputation.

10) Bruce Brown, G/F, UFA
2025-26 Team: Denver Nuggets
All 30 NBA teams need a hustle player, a leader, and someone with championship DNA. Free agent guard/forward Bruce Brown checks all three boxes. His stats in 2025-26 with the Nuggets don’t necessarily jump off the page, as he averaged just 7.9 points per game; however, he suited up in all 82 games and was a key contributor on the Denver team that took home the Larry O’Brien Trophy in the 2022-23 season.
It’s only a matter of time before a playoff hopeful or title contender brings him in and ultimately plays him 20 minutes a night at multiple positions, one through four.

9) Brandon Williams, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Dallas Mavericks
Among the remaining free agents, Brandon Williams ranked seventh in points per game at 13.0 and fifth in assists per game at 3.9 in 2025. He developed into a real contributor with the Dallas Mavericks in 2025, but with Kyrie Irving returning from injury, he seemingly no longer has a spot in the rotation or roster.
Williams’ impact flew under the radar last season, as Dallas finished with just 26 wins. Still, the 26-year-old can be a solid backup point guard somewhere on a cheaper contract.

8) Russell Westbrook, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Sacramento Kings
Heading into his age-37 season, nine-time All-Star Russell Westbrook has received little to no interest on the free agent market. During the LeBron James sweepstakes, Stefan Bondy reported that the Heat would have interest in Westbrook if they failed to land James.
However, James ultimately signed with Philadelphia, and nothing has materialized regarding Westbrook. As NBA training camps approach in late September, Westbrook should draw interest from contenders looking for additional guard depth.

7) Bradley Beal, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Los Angeles Clippers
Bradley Beal and the Heat reportedly shared mutual interest in a deal earlier this offseason, according to Brett Siegel. The Boston Celtics have also emerged as a potential landing spot thanks to Beal’s relationship with Jayson Tatum, per Jake Fischer.
Beal only appeared in six games for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2026 due to injury. The year prior, he averaged 17.0 points while shooting 38.6% from three-point range. He’d fit well in Boston’s system as a spot-up scorer, while Miami could desperately use his shooting at the guard position.

6) Jonathan Kuminga, F, UFA
2025-26 Team: Atlanta Hawks
According to Shams Charania, the Lakers and Cavaliers remain interested in acquiring Jonathan Kuminga via a sign-and-trade with the Hawks. Meanwhile, HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto recently shared that the Timberwolves emerged as suitors for Kuminga after failing to land LeBron James.
Teams aren’t necessarily racing to land Kuminga, but at the right price, he can play a key role on a playoff contender.

5) Bennedict Mathurin, G, RFA
2025-26 Team: Los Angeles Clippers
Bennedict Mathurin joined the Clippers at last year’s trade deadline as part of the Ivica Zubac deal, and he averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 26 games. The 2026 season also marked his fourth consecutive campaign averaging 14 or more points per game.
The New Orleans Pelicans are the latest team to express interest in the 24-year-old restricted free agent, according to Marc Stein. A reunion with the Clippers remains a possibility if he does not sign elsewhere.

4) Peyton Watson, F, RFA
2025-26Â Team: Denver Nuggets
Following a career year in which he averaged 14.6 points per game, the Nuggets’ front office expressed interest in extending Peyton Watson. More than a month into NBA free agency, however, no agreement has been reached.
The Nuggets have reportedly been approached by the Cavaliers, Bucks, Hawks, and Clippers regarding a potential sign-and-trade, according to Scotto. If a deal is not completed, Watson is reportedly considering accepting the qualifying offer to remain in Denver.

3) DeMar DeRozan, G/F, UFA
2025-26 Team: Sacramento Kings
After the Sacramento Kings released DeMar DeRozan in early July, Shams Charania revealed that the Heat, Cavaliers, Wizards, and Nuggets are among the teams interested in signing him.
This past season, DeRozan averaged 18.4 points while shooting nearly 50% from the field. The six-time All-Star can still provide significant value to a contender and should ink a deal in the coming weeks.

2) James Harden, G, UFA
2025-26 Team: Cleveland Cavaliers
James Harden appears to be returning to Cleveland, but he and the Cavaliers’ front office have yet to agree on the contract details. Expect the 36-year-old guard to receive a lucrative one- or two-year deal with the Cavs.
Harden proved he can still perform at a near-All-Star level in 2025, although he struggled during the playoffs, shooting 41.0% from the field and 29.9% from 3-point range while averaging 4.7 turnovers per game.

1) Jalen Duren, C, RFA
2025-26Â Team: Detroit Pistons
Jalen Duren and the Detroit Pistons have yet to come to terms on a long-term contract agreement. At this stage of the offseason, Duren may be inclined to sign the qualifying offer and attempt to prove his value next season.
If he performs at a high level and maintains the consistency through the postseason, Duren could earn a longer, more lucrative offer from Detroit or another organization in the summer of 2027 as an unrestricted free agent.
