With their victory, the Kings improved to 7-22 in 29 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.

They snapped a five-game losing streak.

Despite having a roster filled with notable players, the Kings will likely miss the 2026 NBA playoffs.

Therefore, they will be a team to watch on the trade market.

After almost being traded in the offseason, Sacramento will again shop Monk to contending teams. Monk, under contract through 2027-28, is averaging 13 points per game while shooting a career-high 41.1% on threes.”

As for the Rockets, they dropped to 17-9 in 26 games, which has them as the sixth seed.

Following the Kings, they will play their next game on Tuesday night when they visit James Harden and the LA Clippers in California.
