    NBA Fans Devastated By Zion Williamson Announcement Before Hornets-Pelicans Game

    On Tuesday night, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Charlotte Hornets.

    The Pelicans are off to a tough start to the season, as they are currently the 15th seed in the Western Conference with an 0-6 record.

    Pelicans Make Zion Williamson Announcement

    Before the game, the Pelicans made a big announcement about two-time NBA All-Star Zion Williamson.

    Via The New Orleans Pelicans: “Injury Update: The New Orleans Pelicans today announced that Zion Williamson has been diagnosed with a grade 1 left hamstring strain. He will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days and further updates will be appropriately provided.”

    Williamson is averaging 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.7% from the field in five games.

    Williamson was the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft after one season at Duke.

    He has spent his entire pro career in New Orleans.

    As for the Hornets, they come into Tuesday’s showdown with a 3-4 record in seven games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.
