Another year of thrilling NBA Cup tournament basketball recently concluded in Las Vegas, as the New York Knicks became the third team to win the now annual competition with a 124-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
As NBA Commissioner Adam Silver brainstorms potential changes to the competition, the league issued a press release praising the tournament’s top players.

Who Made The NBA Cup All-Tournament Team
The NBA released the 2025 NBA Cup All-Tournament Team, featuring four guards and one big man. The league’s official press release states, “The All-Tournament Team for the Emirates NBA Cup: Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks, Luka Doncic, Los Angeles Lakers, De’Aaron Fox, San Antonio Spurs, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder, Karl-Anthony Towns, New York Knicks.”
The Knicks won the tournament thanks to the play of their two All-Stars, Brunson and Towns. Brunson scored 25 points in the NBA Cup Championship Game and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. He averaged over 30 points per game during the tournament, while leading the competition in made field goals. Brunson now joins an elite club of NBA Cup MVPs, joining Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Towns missed a chunk of game time while dealing with a possible injury, but still had an efficient 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks in the Championship Game. He averaged over 21 points and 10 rebounds per game during the tournament, and along with Brunson, hopes to lead the Knicks to the NBA Finals this season.

Fox didn’t have his best game in the NBA Cup Championship Game, shooting 5-13 from the field with five turnovers, but he did a great job getting the Spurs to Vegas with franchise player Victor Wembanyama sidelined. Fox averaged over 21 points per game, while showing the league that the Spurs are now a force.
Doncic and the Lakers came up short, but he was nearly unstoppable in the NBA Cup Tournament, averaging over 35 points and 10 assists per game. The Lakers won West Group B before falling to the Spurs. Doncic remains a top contender for this year’s MVP Award.
The reigning league MVP, Gilgeous-Alexander, was unable to stop the Thunder from having another disappointing exit in Las Vegas. He averaged over 30 points per game in the tournament and is the NBA Cup’s all-time leading scorer. While the 24-2 Thunder remain strong championship favorites, winning next year’s NBA Cup will likely be a priority after falling short the last two years.
