Lakers Star Luka Dončić Apologizes to Ex-ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski in New Jordan Ad

Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Dončić surprised everyone with a hilarious commercial to promote his new Jordan shoes.

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers will head into a highly anticipated matchup against Kevin Durant’s Houston Rockets on Christmas Day at Crypto.com Arena, with Luka Dončić expected to play, even though he’s currently listed as questionable.

Ahead of this Christmas Day showdown in Los Angeles, Dončić surprised everyone with a hilarious commercial promoting his new Jordan shoes, the Luka 5. It wasn’t a traditional shoe commercial, as there were two unexpected appearances by two notable names from on the court and off of it.

Dončić Hilariously Promotes Shoes in New Jordan Ad

Dončić’s new commercial featured the Lakers superstar apologizing to former NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski and former Dallas Mavericks teammate Boban Marjanovic, via Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

“To whom it may concern: It’s me, Luka Dončić. I’m sorry for being a bad man. So consider these shoes an apology. Just bear with me. I’m trying to change my ways. Sorry for all the yelling… You know I get defensive.

“Sorry, Woj. Your old job, it sucked. What do you even do now?”

“Sorry, Boban, no one makes a size 30.”

“Furthermore, I’m sorry, okay? The only nice thing about me is my shoes.”

“P.S. There’s no gift receipt [laughs].”

If there’s been one thing that Dončić has shown since being traded to the Lakers, it’s that he’s got a great sense of humor, which makes it no surprise he comes out with a commercial like this, with Wojarnowski and Marjanovic in the mix.

There’s bound to be more commercials like this from the Lakers superstar in the future, especially now that he’s in Los Angeles with a ton of off-court opportunities at his disposal.

In the meantime, the Lakers have become one of the best teams in the Western Conference with the Slovenian product leading the way for the purple and gold. He’s having a career year, leading the NBA in scoring at 34.1 points per game, which is ahead of reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder (32.5) and Philadelphia 76ers rising star Tyrese Maxey (31.0).

Unfortunately, Dončić has missed the last two games due to a contusion on his left lower leg, but he is trending toward returning to the floor on Thursday night to take on the Rockets.

Obviously, with Dončić back in the mix, the Lakers’ chances of ending their two-game skid drastically improve. They’ll also likely have Rui Hachimura back from a groin injury that is currently being load-managed by the team.
