Los Angeles Lakers Recall Player Before Heat Game
Before Sunday’s showdown, the Lakers announced that they had recalled Adou Thiero from South Bay (G League).
Via Dan Woike of The Athletic: “Lakers have recalled forward Adou Thiero from the South Bay. Could potentially be active for the first time Sunday against Miami.”
Thiero (who was the 36th pick in the draft this past summer) has yet to make his NBA debut.
He is coming off a year where he had averages of 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 54.5% from the field in 27 games for Arkansas.
Via @League_Him (in March): “Adou Thiero is a wildcard to monitor in the Sweet 16 for Arkansas, as John Calipari hinted he could return from injury. The explosive 6-8, 20-year-old forward is a potential first-round pick, capable of providing the Razorbacks with a disruptive two-way punch.”
The Lakers are coming off a 117-112 victory over the Grizzlies (in Memphis).
They were led by Luka Doncic who finished with 44 points, 12 rebounds and six assists while shooting 14/27 from the field and 6/15 from three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.
Following the Heat, the Lakers will continue action on Monday night when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers (in Oregon).
“We’re gonna be a harder playing team than the other team.” 🗣️
