The 2025-26 NBA season has not been kind to Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James, who missed the first 14 games of the campaign and hasn’t looked right from a scoring perspective since getting back on the floor recently.
James’ scoring woes became glaringly evident when his incredible streak of consecutive games with at least 10 points came to an end recently on the road against the Toronto Raptors. Even though James failed to score 10 points in that game, ending his streak at 1,297 games, he did dish out the assist to Rui Hachimura for the game-winning three-pointer as time expired.
Although James hasn’t looked like the same player on the offensive end of the floor, the soon-to-be 41-year-old turned back the clock on Sunday to end the Lakers’ road trip against the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

LeBron James Explains Combining His Two Iconic Celebrations
After losing to the archrival Boston Celtics earlier this week, the Lakers were able to bounce back on Sunday on the road against the 76ers, with James showing why he’s still an elite NBA player.
James came through in the clutch during this game while finishing with a season-high 29 points, but before the game was over, he did something he’s never done in his playing career, as he meshed together two of his celebrations on the court, via the NBA’s X account.
“I meshed it for the first time in my life.”

“I meshed it for the first time in my life,” James said after Sunday’s win in Philadelphia.
Although James is still working himself back to form after missing the first 14 games of the 2025-26 campaign, the four-time NBA champion was on his game against the 76ers, scoring 10 straight points in the fourth quarter to help propel the Lakers to another win, via the NBA’s X account.

With the Lakers already firing on all cylinders, with Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves playing at an incredibly high level this season, Los Angeles’ chances of being a legitimate title contender in the Western Conference only improve with a revitalized James on the floor.
Following the game against the 76ers, the Lakers will head home to prepare for the NBA Cup matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday at Crypto.com Arena. The winner will advance to the semifinals, which will be played in Las Vegas, Nevada.
