LeBron James Rumors: NBA Legend Spotted With 4-Time Champion As Free-Agency Recruiting Heats Up

As rumors continue to swirl around LeBron James' future, he was seen golfing with a four-time NBA champion on Thursday.

As the NBA world awaits the news on which team will win the LeBron James sweepstakes, the four-time MVP was seen golfing with a former rival.

James is an unrestricted free agent after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and Golden State Warriors in the hunt for his signature.

LeBron James Seen Golfing With Former NBA Rival Amid Free Agency

The Warriors have been heavily linked with a move for James, with speculation persisting that they want to pair him with fellow NBA legends Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Amid these reports, James was seen golfing with Green in Puerto Rico on Thursday.

A photo of the two hitting the links was shared on ESPN’s social media. However, it is unclear whether they were discussing a potential move for James to the Bay Area.

“Someone has spotted LeBron and Draymond golfing in Puerto Rico,” ESPN Cleveland wrote on X.

James and the Cavaliers once had a fierce rivalry against the Warriors, with the two teams battling it out in four straight NBA Finals. The Warriors won in 2015, 2017, and 2018, while James led the Cavaliers to the NBA championship in 2016.

Curry and Green, who have led the Warriors to four NBA championships, are both friends with James. However, it remains to be seen whether the Warriors have the necessary resources to make a move for James while staying in title contention next season.

As he prepares for his 24th season in the NBA, James has shown he is still capable of competing at an elite level. Several teams remain in the hunt to sign the 41-year-old, with NBA insider Shams Charania revealing on Thursday that teams have been sending him voice notes via his agent, Rich Paul, to make their pitches.

Returns to Miami and Cleveland could be the most enticing options for James ahead of what could be the final year of his NBA career. The Heat recently completed a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo and have a strong roster, while a third stint in his hometown with the Cavaliers might give him the storybook ending he might be seeking for his career.

James has made it clear that he is in no rush to make a final decision on his future. However, a round of golf with Green might just boost the Warriors’ chances of landing James, years on from their storied rivalry.
