‘Most Impactful Player’ – LeBron James’ Agent Argues Michael Jordan Would’ve Gone ‘0-6 in Finals’ Without Scottie Pippen

LeBron James' agent has argued that Michael Jordan would not have won an NBA title had it not been for Scottie Pippen's heroics.

LeBron James’ longtime agent, Rich Paul, has shared a hot take on the impact Scottie Pippen had during the Chicago Bulls’ dominant run led by Michael Jordan in the 1990s.

The Klutch Sports Group founder believes that Jordan would not have been as successful in the NBA without Pippen.

LeBron James’ Agent Claims Michael Jordan Would Have Zero Titles Without Scottie Pippen

Much has been said and written about the Chicago Bulls team that won six NBA championships in the 1990s. The Bulls did a three-peat from 1991 to 93, and then again from 1996 to 98. Jordan was the driving force of the Bulls during that era, but Pippen and Dennis Rodman also played key roles in the franchise’s success.

Paul shared his take on Jordan’s success with the Bulls and claimed that one of the greatest players in NBA history would have zero titles if not for the contributions of Pippen.  He even argued that Pippen was the most impactful player on the dominant Bulls team in the 90s.

“I think Scottie’s rings are the same as Michael Jordan’s. He was the most impactful player on the team! If you unplug Scottie Pippen off that team, Jordan is 0-6. You could replace him with another All-Star, but just because it’s another All-Star doesn’t mean they’re Scottie Pippen,” Paul said on the “Game Over” podcast alongside Max Kellerman and Gilbert Arenas.

Jame’s agent further drove home his point by mentioning how Pippen and Rodman are regarded as two of the greatest defenders in NBA history.

“You’re talking about a guy that’s 6-foot-7, plays both sides of the ball, he can initiate the offense. You had three guys on that team – Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman, that were on the All-Defensive team. You have two guys who are arguably the greatest defender you’ve ever seen,” he added.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Jordan took eight years before making his first NBA Finals appearance.

Pippen joined the Bulls in a trade from the Seattle SuperSonics at the 1987 NBA Draft, and played a decisive role in helping Chicago win its six titles. Rodman arrived in Chicago in 1995 and helped the Bulls claim their second three-peat.

Jordan was named Finals MVP for all six of the Bulls’ titles. However, Paul believes he would not have been as legendary had it not been for the supporting cast led by Pippen and Rodman.
