Back in the 2024-25 season, LeBron James made history as the first active father-son duo in NBA history alongside his eldest son, Bronny James.
While it was undeniably a proud father moment for LeBron, the Los Angeles Lakers star is still looking out for another young prospect in his family. Bryce James, LeBron’s youngest son and current Arizona Wildcats player, recently achieved a major milestone in his young basketball career.
LeBron James Flexes Bryce James’ Big 12 Title Win
The No. 2 Wildcats clinched the Big 12 title following their 73-57 win over Iowa State, and LeBron recently posted a highlight video of Bryce on his Instagram stories. The video featured some of Bryce’s best dunks during the team warmups.
LeBron typed an emoji of eyes, urging his followers to watch the video.

While Bryce is technically on the team, he hasn’t played any official games this season. The young James is currently categorized as a redshirt player. For those unfamiliar, redshirts are players who sit out all official games for one season to retain four years of eligibility over five years.
Having that in mind, Bryce hasn’t won the Big 12 season title as an active player. However, since he’s officially part of the team, his name remains on the team’s roster as one of the players who helped achieve the feat, and he shared the accomplishment via his Instagram handle.
Given that Bryce has yet to make his college debut, the chances of him getting to play with both LeBron and his brother, Bronny, at the same time in the NBA are low.
There have been several rumors this year that LeBron will soon retire, spreading like wildfire, mainly due to the four-time NBA champion not re-signing with the Lakers.

There are speculations that LeBron could return to Cleveland and play for the Cavs in what should be his retirement tour. However, that remains to be seen.
As for whether LeBron is interested in playing with Bryce, he previously stated that he’s not waiting for his youngest boy to get drafted into the NBA before he retires. “I’m not waiting on Bryce,” James said. “I don’t know what his timeline is. He’s his own young man now… He has his own timeline, I’ve got my timeline, and I don’t know if they quite match up. We’ll see.”
For now, all we can do is wait and see what Bryce can do in his college career when he makes his debut in Arizona next season.
