The Los Angeles Lakers are set to face off against the Detroit Pistons on Monday. As of late, the Lakers have been on a hot streak, winning nine consecutive games. This has a lot to do with the way Luka Doncic has performed despite the injuries.
Which Los Angeles Lakers Players Are on the Injury Report?
Looking at the Lakers’ past nine games, Doncic has averaged 40.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. While he’s undoubtedly been the captain of the squad, the Slovenian star wouldn’t have done it without the help of his other teammates.
However, if the Lakers need to keep up the tempo, they need to make the most of the players available. Because of the injury list.
Given how the Lakers have shown their dominance in the last nine games, some believe that their hot streak might soon come to a close. Based on their current momentum, the only way to stop the Lakers now is through injuries.
According to sources, three players are on the Lakers’ injury report. They are Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, and Maxi Kleber.

Hachimura is currently listed as day-to-day and is questionable for Monday’s game against the Pistons. According to reports, Hachimura sustained soreness in his right calf.
During the Lakers’ previous game against the Orlando Magic on Saturday, Hachimura exited the arena in the third quarter after only playing 15 minutes. Sources report that his abrupt exit was due to the soreness in his right calf.
Meanwhile, Smart has been the key starter for the Lakers, with 60 games under his belt. Smart maintained a steady presence as a defensive anchor and the secondary playmaker for Los Angeles.
During his game last Saturday night against the Magic, Smart briefly left the second quarter but fortunately returned to finish the game. Reports confirmed on Sunday that Smart sustained a right ankle injury.
He is now listed as day-to-day in the injury report. Smart is listed as questionable for Monday’s face-off with the Pistons.
With Kleber’s lumbar back strain, sources have recently confirmed that his status is questionable for Monday’s game against the Pistons.
Sources reported that Kleber sustained a lumbar strain but will take a significant step toward his return to the active roster, as he recently completed a practice stint with the Lakers’ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.
