It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.
Should you draft Jay Huff this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Indiana Pacers Center.
Should You Draft Jay Huff in Fantasy Basketball?
Jay Huff turned heads with his floor spacing and rim protection in limited action off the bench for Memphis last season. After being shipped to Indiana over the summer, a team without a proven starting-caliber big man, many hope his fantasy-friendly skill set will translate to a larger workload.
In just 11.7 minutes a night, Huff averaged 6.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.9 blocks, and 1.3 3-pointers per game on impressive shooting splits for a seven-footer (51.5/40.5/78.6). His stretch five repertoire should help the Pacers replace some of Myles Turner’s two-way production after he jumped ship to Milwaukee in free agency.
Huff will have to compete with a few other rotation-level centers for playing time in the 2025-26 campaign, most notably Isaiah Jackson. If the 28-year-old can carve out a consistent role, he could emerge as a late-round steal, particularly in category leagues.
