The Oklahoma City Thunder came into Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on the back foot. The Spurs stole Game 1 at the Paycom Center, and the Thunder tied it 1-1 in Game 2. But now, OKC has bad news on one of its main stars.
Jalen Williams exited Game 2 in the first quarter with 1:34 remaining and never came back, and the update doesn’t sound good.
What Is Jalen Williams’ Injury Status?
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Williams will be evaluated day to day, game to game, with a left hamstring injury. He will undergo treatment and his return will be determined entirely by how his body responds to the recovery process.

The main problem is that this is the second injury to the same hamstring in under a month, making the situation considerably more uncertain than a typical soft-tissue update would suggest.
Williams originally suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain in Game 2 of the first round against the Phoenix Suns, missing six games before returning for Game 1.
He played through 27 minutes before the Thunder lost in double OT, and his return appeared to be going smoothly until Wednesday night. Williams was getting treatment on his left hamstring mid-game, and the Thunder later announced he was ruled out for the remainder of Game 2 with hamstring tightness.
Coming into this season, Williams had already dealt with a wrist injury suffered during last year’s title-winning postseason run, and has now battled three separate hamstring injuries across the 2025-26 campaign.
The Thunder medical staff will conduct additional evaluations in the coming days to determine the severity of the latest hamstring issue, with no timetable for his return currently available.
Williams averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 48.4 percent shooting during the regular season, and had scored 20 or more points in two of his three playoff appearances before Wednesday’s exit.
The Spurs have their own injury concerns, with rookie Dylan Harper exiting in the third quarter after clutching his right leg.
Harper will undergo an MRI to evaluate what appears to be a hamstring injury, and the results of that scan will determine his availability going forward. With both teams potentially dealing with hamstring issues heading into Game 3, the health reports over the next 48 hours could reshape the entire direction of this series.
