Rapper GloRilla Sits Courtside at Raptors-Hawks Game to Support $120,000,000 NBA Boyfriend

The season opener between the Toronto Raptors and the Atlanta Hawks drew out rapper GloRilla to support her NBA superstar boyfriend.

As the NBA season gets underway, the excitement of a new year is all around the basketball world. That excitement was palpable in the season opener, as fans were out in full swing to support their teams. For the Atlanta Hawks, a home opener meant the fan base was out in full force after an electric summer that saw the team add names like Kristaps Porzingis and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the roster.

However, among the swathes of attendees inside State Farm Arena, there were a few Toronto Raptors faithful trying to cheer their team on. Among those of the Raptors fan base, there was one major name also in the arena, a global superstar of the rap world in GloRilla.

In attendance to cheer her boyfriend, she brought extreme good luck for her beau, as Toronto dominated en route to a 138-118 victory over the home team.

GloRilla Turns Good Luck Charm for the Raptors vs. Hawks

Breaking onto the international scene with “F.N.F.” she earned a nomination for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. A spectacular career has followed since then, with top-ten hits like “Tomorrow” and “Blessed” following afterward.

Alongside her success as an artist, she’s also been in the news over the last few months thanks to her budding relationship with Brandon Ingram. Spotted together multiple times since July, the two hadn’t confirmed until she made it official on X.

Arriving at the game, the official account of the Raptors shared a picture of her courtside, with the simple caption, “YEAHHHH @GloTheofficial.” For any rumors that might have remained about her relationship, her chain removed any doubts.

Sporting the number three, which Ingram has adopted since arriving in Toronto, her presence sparked an electric performance from the entire squad. All five starters scored in double digits, with two others, Jamal Shead and Gradey Dick, also adding 10 and 21, respectively.

Ingram came to the team as part of a trade that sent Bruce Brown and a first-round pick to the New Orleans Pelicans. Soon after arriving in Toronto, the three-level scorer signed a three-year contract extension worth $120 million.

Another trade acquisition from last season, RJ Barrett, led the Raptors with 25 points. A balanced attack counteracted the new-look Atlanta squad. Their first returns weren’t bad by any stretch of the imagination.

However, the defense, where they made the majority of the additions during the offseason, needs to do a better job than it did against the Raptors. Ultimately, though, a subpar shooting night hampered the Hawks, as they shot 42.2% from the field, compared to 56.8% by the Raptors.
