The Milwaukee Bucks’ dysfunction and the endless “will he, won’t he” trade speculation surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo are reaching a boiling point for one NBA pundit.
After a bizarre and disappointing season for the Bucks, with controversies making more noise than on-court performances, Chris Broussard’s patience has worn thin.

Chris Broussard Demands Clarity on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Future With Bucks
After a disastrous 2025-26 campaign ended with head coach Doc Rivers stepping down, the spotlight swiftly shifted to Antetokounmpo’s future in Milwaukee. However, the 2021 NBA Finals MVP did not take a clear stance, stating, “That’s a very good question. I don’t know. It’s not up to me. We’ll see …”
“The Greek Freak” staying vague about his commitment did not sit well with Broussard, who slammed the dragging trade narrative.
“I like Giannis, but, like, GET OUT, GIANNIS! Just make the trade demand public. If he goes back to the Bucks next year, I wanna declare a moratorium,” Broussard said on Monday’s edition of “First Things First.”
“We’re done talking about Giannis leaving. I mean, I know an extension maybe would be in play, but unless the Bucks are good, we should declare a moratorium.”

“I think at this point the team needs to trade him. You have Giannis, and you’re terrible. Okay. And it’s better for him to go elsewhere,” Broussard added.
This frustration highlights a Bucks season derailed by internal friction that very well may have played a role in underwhelming performances on the court. Milwaukee finished just 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 32-50 record.
One of the most glaring points of contention throughout the season was the massive disconnect between the franchise cornerstone and the organization, something Antetokounmpo explicitly pointed out.
During a critical final stretch, Antetokounmpo, who suffered a left knee injury against the Indiana Pacers on March 15, repeatedly insisted to the media that he was completely fit and ready to play.
However, the Bucks opted to bench him for the final 15 games, limiting him to 36 appearances this season. This series of events sparked controversy, and the NBA launched an inquiry into possible Player Participation Policy violations.
As the losses piled up and their two-time MVP was forced onto the sidelines, reports of locker room conversations leaking started capturing headlines. This was a fractured team doomed to head into a nightmare offseason.
Milwaukee’s front office will now be in the hunt for its third head coach in three years, face potential league fines, and hope to resolve Antetokounmpo’s dissatisfaction.
Fortunately for the 10-time All-Star, reports indicate that he has plenty of suitors across the league waiting to rescue him from this mess.
