James and the Lakers were riding a nine-game winning streak until they fell to the Detroit Pistons in their last matchup. But it did not take them long to bounce back, defeating the Pacers, with impressive efforts from guard Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, and secondary scorer James, who has been thriving in his new role.

The NBA world found it comical and quickly jumped in to share their reactions.

James looked frustrated as he approached the referees with his arms outstretched, while Clark’s expression stood in stark contrast.

The analyst page Covers described it as the kind of basketball content fans live for.

“Caitlin Clark photographing LeBron complaining to the refs is peak basketball content.”

@BronWorld, a fan page dedicated to the all-time leading scorer, wrote: “The way Caitlin Clark locks in right when she sees LeBron arguing with the referee.”

The Lakers were in their usual form, shooting 56.2% from the field and 39.1% from 3-point range while tallying 30 assists. The Pacers showed great resilience, but Los Angeles did not lose their grip on the game after dropping 45 points in the first quarter.

Jaxson Hayes also chipped in with 21 points and 10 rebounds, giving the Lakers the edge when it was needed most.

Meanwhile, Clark, the guest photographer in the game, endured a difficult 2025 season marked by multiple injuries, including a season-ending groin injury. After an eight-month layoff, she returned to action with an MVP run in the recently concluded FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
