What Happened to Anthony Davis? Latest Injury Update On Mavericks Star After Christmas Day Exit vs. Warriors

Anthony Davis went to the locker room with an injury during Thursday's game between the Mavs and Warriors.

On Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks are playing the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.

Anthony Davis had three points, three rebounds, one steal, and two blocks while shooting 1/4 from the field in his first 11 minutes of playing time.

Anthony Davis Goes To Locker Room With Injury

During the first half, Davis went to the locker room with an injury.

Via ESPN’s Anthony Slater: “Anthony Davis limped to the locker room during the timeout.”

Davis has been ruled out for the remainder of the game, via ESPN’s Shams Charania. It was revealed after the game that Davis was dealing with right groin spasms.

The Mavs are currently the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 12-19 record in 31 games.

They are coming off a 131-130 victory over the Denver Nuggets (in Dallas).

Davis finished the game with 31 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals while shooting 12/19 from the field.

As for the Warriors, they came into the matchup with a 15-15 record in 30 games, which has them as the eighth seed.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and 9-4 in 13 games at home).

Following the Mavs, the Warriors will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Atlanta Hawks.

Davis was the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.

The 2020 NBA Champion has also played for the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers over 14 seasons.
