Four games have passed since the last time we saw Anthony Edwards take on the hardwood. The last time Edwards played was on March 15, when the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While no one saw Edwards get hurt during a game, fans were shocked to learn he had been sidelined by an injury. The question now on everyone’s mind is when Edwards will make his return, especially now that the Wolves are fighting for a good placement in the playoffs.

Anthony Edwards Expected To Miss One to Two Weeks
According to multiple sources, Edwards had been dealing with right knee soreness since March 13. Antman opted to play through the pain and was available for the Wolves when they faced the Golden State Warriors and the Thunder.
Against the Warriors, Edwards exploded for 42 points, eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block, despite the soreness in his knee. Then, against the Thunder, he slowed down in production, only putting up 19 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block in 37 minutes of play.
Edwards then underwent an MRI on March 17 to have his right knee checked once and for all. Apparently, the MRI showed that the Wolves star has a right knee inflammation, formally known as patellofemoral pain syndrome.
The injury has forced him to sit out the Wolves’ last four games. This is a concern for Minnesota fans, especially given how they’re in sixth place in the Western Conference.
With only 10 games remaining in their regular season, they still have a slim chance of getting knocked out of the playoff picture, falling into the Play-In Tournament instead. This is a possibility, especially with Edwards out of the picture.
Several sources reported that Edwards will be re-evaluated within 1 to 2 weeks of this writing. Reports suggest he could return on March 25 against the Houston Rockets.
However, if we look at the timeline, Antman’s earliest possible return date could be March 30, when the Timberwolves take on the Dallas Mavericks. He could also return as late as April 5, when the Wolves face off against the Charlotte Hornets.
This assumes his injury recovery goes well. Other sources suggest that if the Timberwolves secure a playoff spot immediately during Edwards’ absence, they’re likely to conserve his energy for the postseason rather than risk another injury in the remaining regular-season games.
