RFK Racing is remembering Greg Biffle in a deeply personal way. After his tragic passing in a plane crash last month, the team has dedicated part of its museum to honor “The Biff” and his incredible run in the No. 16 Ford.
The display looks back on some of Biffle’s best moments with the team, celebrating a career that helped define RFK Racing’s success throughout the 2000s and into the early 2010s.
RFK Racing Gives Fans a Closer Look at Greg Biffle’s Legacy
The standout piece of the display is Biffle’s No. 16 3M Ford Fusion from June 2013, the same car that carried Ford to its 1,000th NASCAR win at Michigan. It also turned out to be the final Cup Series victory of Biffle’s career, making it one of the most meaningful moments he ever had behind the wheel.
Beside it is a victory lane team photo from that day, capturing the celebration and the milestone, with the words “1,000 NASCAR wins Ford Racing” front and center. It’s a powerful snapshot of Biffle’s place in NASCAR history.
The museum also features a champagne bottle from Biffle’s thrilling May 2006 win at Darlington Raceway. Starting ninth that night, Biffle dominated the race by leading 170 of 367 laps.
He battled with some of NASCAR’s biggest names, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, and Jimmie Johnson, before holding off a charging Jeff Gordon by just 0.209 seconds to score his 10th career win.
Another trophy on display comes from Biffle’s April 2012 victory at Texas Motor Speedway in the Samsung Mobile 500. That race was notable for its blistering pace, with only two cautions slowing just 10 of 334 laps.
The final 234 laps ran green, allowing Biffle to chase down Jimmie Johnson and lead the final 31 laps to victory. The race’s average speed of 160.577 mph showcased Biffle’s skill in fast, demanding conditions.
Beyond the race cars and trophies, the exhibit includes a bouquet of heart-shaped roses placed in honor of the beloved driver known throughout the NASCAR community as “The Biff.”
It’s a simple but powerful reminder of the man behind the helmet and the impact he had on everyone around him. In their announcement on social media Monday, RFK Racing wrote: “We’ve added a heartfelt new display to the RFK Racing museum.”
“In honor of Greg, we’re highlighting some of his remarkable achievements with our team — including the iconic No. 16 that secured Ford’s 1,000th victory in NASCAR — and a special tribute to the legendary Biff. All are welcome to stop by our museum and celebrate the legacy of Greg Biffle.”
Biffle finished his Cup Series career with 19 wins and earned respect across the garage for his consistency and never-back-down attitude. His success at RFK Racing cemented him as one of the team’s greats, and the museum tribute makes sure his impact won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
