Meet the Drivers Battling for Kaulig’s Final Truck Seat in Ram’s High-Stakes NASCAR Experiment

Ram recently released the whole list of drivers who will be competing for the last spot to drive Kaulig Racing's ride in the NASCAR's Truck Series.

Ram, which is gearing up to make its comeback to NASCAR with the Truck Series, decided to spice things up for the final seat in their driver lineup. The automaker announced a reality racing series where the winner at the end of the high-stakes drama would get a chance to drive the fifth Ram 1500 truck for Kaulig Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series.

UFC CEO Dana White, along with Matt Kaulig and Tim Kuniskis, will also join the show ‘Race For the Seat’ as commentators. And with less than two weeks to go until the drama kicks off, Ram has released the list of all 15 drivers who will be competing for the ultimate prize.

The Drivers Competing in Ram’s Series for a Ticket to NASCAR

From the list of drivers that Ram released for the contest starting on Jan. 25, the first one was the champion of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Austin Beers. Next on the list was the son of Mike Christopher and nephew of Ted Christophe, Michael Christopher Jr., who also currently competes in the Modified Tour.

Next was Mini Tyrell, a promising name from Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick’s CARS Tour. Tyrell also has four career wins to his name. Twins Cody and Casey Kelley will also compete in Ram’s reality racing show. The brothers who race late models have the Florence Motor Speedway as their home track, with the latter being crowned the 2024 track champion.

Dirt Late Model star, Carson Ferguson, was next. Ferguson already has an impressive resume, being the only driver to win the Dirt Oval, Asphalt Oval, and Road Course Nationals all in the same year.

Kade Brown will be another CARS Tour driver competing in the show. Brown has also been the track champion at Florence, as well as at Hickory. NEMCO Motorsports’ driver Ryan Gemell will be another addition to the driver lineup of ‘Race For the Seat.’

The 2022 ‘Rookie of the Year’ from the CARS Tour Late Model Stock division, Chase Burrow, will also race for a chance to drive a Ram 1500 in NASCAR. The next entry is the oldest one on the grid, the 45-year-old Jonathan Cash, who formerly raced in the East Series, will also run in Ram’s upcoming contest.
