Josh Allen Walks the Red Carpet at NFL Honors With Fiancée Hailee Steinfeld

Allen and Steinfeld announced the news of their engagement on Instagram, posting a photo of the proposal. The Bills quarterback popped the question on Nov. 22, 2024, during Buffalo’s bye week, but the couple waited one week before announcing their engagement to the world.

How did Allen pop the question? He took a knee in front of the ocean, surrounded by beautiful flowers and candles, and Steinfeld said, “Yes.”

It’s unclear if the couple has already set a wedding date, as they are still in the very early stages of their engagement.

The couple have reportedly been dating since around May of 2023, shortly after Allen and his girlfriend of six years called it quits.

Allen and Steinfeld were spotted poolside during a July trip to Mexico. When fans and media became interested in his dating life, Allen was shocked.

“The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind,” Allen said.

The couple publicly acknowledged their relationship in July 2024 when the Bills quarterback posted an Instagram photo with the actor/singer at the Eiffel Tower.

Steinfeld has also opened up about Allen recently in her “Beau Society” blog, writing: “Hi. The rumors are true. Football season is back which means a few things, A) I get to watch my favorite person continue to make NFL history every week. B) We’re just a few weeks away from drastic temperature drops where you’ll find me drinking hot chocolate bundled in vintage Bills gear.”

Steinfeld appeared to attend a Bills game in September at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.; there were multiple social media posts of her participating in some Buffalo-themed activities.

The couple hosted a Halloween party which was dubbed “Josh & Hailee’s Circus Showdown 2024.” The décor and menu were designed with a circus theme in mind, and Bills backup QB Mitch Trubisky posted photos from the party.

Allen is looking to add his first MVP Award to the mantle in his home.

Who Votes for the NFL MVP?

A panel of 50 sportswriters come together to vote on the NFL award, presented by the Associated Press. The voting takes place after the regular season and between the playoffs.

However, the results are announced before the Super Bowl. The names chosen to vote on the awards follow the sport religiously throughout the year and are consistent from season to season.

Some famous names to be a part of the process include Troy Aikman, Cris Collinsworth, Tony Dungy, and Herm Edwards.
