  • Location: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California

To round out Week 16, NFL fans will be treated to a matchup between two of the hottest teams in the league currently.

The 49ers are currently favored to win the Super Bowl and are riding a six-game win streak. The offense has scored at least 27 points in each game since Week 9, while the defense has surrendered 15 points per game.

Quarterback Brock Purdy leads the NFL in TD passes (29) and rating (119) and ranks second in passing yards (3,795) in 2023. He has six games with a 130 or better rating this season, tied for the most in a season in NFL history.

Running back Christian McCaffrey has also been having a phenomenal season. He had 187 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in Week 15. He leads the NFL in scrimmage yards (1,801) and rushing yards (1,292) and ranks tied for first in scrimmage TDs (20) in 2023.

The 49ers are in a nice position in terms of their playoff scenarios entering the matchup. The team has clinched the NFC West and remains the No. 1 seed in the NFC heading into their Week 16 matchup, holding a half-game lead over the Lions for the top spot.

Baltimore is 8-1 since Week 6, with impressive victories over Detroit, Seattle, Cincinnati, and Jacksonville.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson continues to play at a high level and has thrown seven touchdowns with just two picks over the past four games.

In a 37-31 overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 10, Jackson threw for 316 yards and three scores while adding 70 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Although listed as questionable with a foot injury, Ravens leading wide receiver Zay Flowers is expected to play. He leads Baltimore with 65 receptions for 680 yards (10.5 average) and three touchdowns.

The Ravens are up two games in the AFC North and are the No. 1 seed in the conference heading into Week 16.

Baltimore has a chance to clinch the division today. If Lamar Jackson and Co. beat the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Day while the Browns lose to or tie the Houston Texans, the Ravens will win its first AFC North title since 2019.
