Miami Dolphins Jersey Numbers Revealed: What Will Odell Beckham Jr., Chop Robinson, Jordan Poyer Wear?

Miami Dolphins rookie Chop Robinson isn’t yet making money, but he’s already saving money.

When the 2024 Dolphins jersey numbers were made public ahead of his first practice as a pro on Friday, Robinson’s choice — No. 44 — was interesting.

Why? He was the only rookie to take the jersey belonging to a returning Dolphins veteran — long-snapper Blake Ferguson, who will wear 48 in 2024.

Usually, such a concession comes with compensation.

So what did Robinson have to cough up for Ferguson to stand down?

    Nothing but respect.

“I just talked to him and asked him how much 44 meant to me,” said Robinson, who wore 44 at Penn State. “So we just talked man-to-man, had a grown man conversation and he just gave the number to me. So I appreciate him for that man.”

Robinson was in an aqua and orange jersey for the first time Friday for Dolphins rookie minicamp.

    So were his draft classmates:

Wright is the first Dolphins player other than Xavien Howard to wear 25 since 2016. Paul said he wanted to wear No. 76, but it was already spoken for.

“He’s somebody that’s a dude. Very good in the NFL. Somebody that I know, a big-name guy,” Wright said about Howard. “I’m excited to wear the number that he repped for a long time, make a lot of big plays in it.”
