There are countless big names in the football media industry, and ESPN employs some of the biggest names who talk about the sport every day.
Included in that is Louis Riddick, who’s a former NFL player and executive turned broadcaster.

While Riddick’s net worth isn’t reported publicly anywhere, it’s believed to sit over seven figures. His salary, however, is reportedly around $800,000.
Riddick was initially a player who was drafted in the ninth round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, and Oakland Raiders, finishing his NFL career with 172 tackles, two sacks, and one safety. He also played in the XFL with the Orlando Rage in 2001.
After his time with the Rage, Riddick’s executive career began immediately as a pro scout for the then-Washington Redskins, serving as the team’s director of pro personnel from 2005 to 2007.
In 2008, the Philadelphia Eagles hired Riddick as a pro scout before being elevated to assistant director of pro personnel in 2009 and director of pro personnel in 2010. He remained with the Eagles until 2013.
While he hasn’t been an executive since, Riddick has interviewed with teams for general manager positions. He has yet to receive a GM job offer.
Riddick’s broadcasting career began in 2013 when he joined ESPN as an NFL front-office insider, and he’s been there ever since. He’s also served as an NFL and college football analyst, spending time in the booth alongside play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler, analyst Dan Orlovsky, and reporter Laura Rutledge. Riddick’s time on Monday Night Football, specifically as an analyst for halftime and postgame shows, is also notable.
