‘You Never Bet Against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes’ – Former Chiefs’ RB LeSean McCoy Bet How Much on the Super Bowl?

When it comes to his confidence in Patrick Mahomes, LeSean McCoy is willing to put his money where his mouth is ahead of the Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs feel inevitable at this point. After their sixth straight AFC Championship appearance, the Chiefs have a chance to secure a Lombardi Trophy in back-to-back years. Despite some of the turmoil this season has brought them, Kansas City is a tough team to bet against — just ask LeSean McCoy.

The former NFL running back and current FOX NFL analyst is not prepared to do that. McCoy believes that there is something special about Mahomes that stops him from ever picking against the Chiefs’ QB in these big games. For that, McCoy put his money where his mouth is.

McCoy joined Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show to talk about the Super Bowl. In that moment, McCoy spoke about how confident he is in Mahomes and the Chiefs getting the job done again this year.

“This is the same thing I’ve been telling everybody for the last three weeks…the [Buffalo] Bills should beat the Chiefs. The [Baltimore] Ravens should beat the Chiefs. The [San Francisco] Niners — all better teams, should beat the Chiefs,” McCoy started.

“But, you never bet against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick in his era. In this era, you never bet against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.”

When Adams asked McCoy, “And you think they’re going to get it done?” McCoy responded by saying, “Im’a put 100 grand on it…the last three Super Bowls I’ve hit.”

McCoy is supremely confident in Mahomes and Reid to get the job done. And when it comes to his money, he knows where he’s going to put it. The former NFL running back sees greatness in the duo in the same way many saw it in Brady and Belichick years ago.

With his own hard-earned money on the line, McCoy knows where he feels confident this Super Bowl Sunday.

Mahomes is attempting to get the third Super Bowl title of his career. If he does, the parallels between him and Brady won’t stop at just McCoy saying it.

It will start an entirely new conversation about Mahomes’ legacy and if he may indeed be able to catch Brady and the seven Super Bowl titles he captured during his career.

There is a lot of time between now and then, but in the current day, McCoy — and probably many others — know where they’re putting their money.
