Travis Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl champion and four-time first-team All-Pro tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
As many have learned outside the football world, though, the Cleveland Heights native is more than just a football player. Kelce’s charisma has led to several major brand deals, given him guest appearances on Saturday Night Live, and even a budding relationship with Taylor Swift.
His next off-field project seems to be bringing a past popular show back to life … in a couple of new ways.
Travis Kelce in Line To Host ‘Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader’ Reboot
The popular Fox show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader is reportedly getting a reboot on Amazon Prime Video and, according to Variety.com, the 34-year-old veteran pass catcher is in line to be the host of the show.
The new reboot for the show is expected to have celebrity guests as the competition — a change from the original purpose of the late-night television program.
Should he finalize a deal to do that, it would not be the first time the Chiefs’ tight end has gone into the streaming/broadcasting world. His reality television show Catching Kelce in 2017 ran for seven episodes and is now on Peacock Premium. He also hosts the ever-popular New Heights podcast with his older brother and recently retired Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce.
According to Variety neither Kelce’s agency nor executives at Amazon have spoken on the potential match together, and there are some legitimate concerns once football season arrives if the tight end would be able to host the show at all, but there are benefits to the pairing.
For Kelce, he would be able to continue to branch out of his playing career while Amazon would get someone who they could potentially use to bolster their viewership —especially if the ever-growing “Swifties” crowd catches on to the show.

Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader ran for three seasons, starting in 2007, before moving to syndication. It returned to Fox for a fourth season before migrating to Paramount Global’s Nickelodeon, where it was hosted by John Cena.
Should the two sides come together on a deal, celebrities will surely be as interested in getting their chance to prove their prowess as much as Kelce is at hosting live shows.
