What Is Lamar Jackson’s Playoff Record? A Look at the Ravens QB’s Career So Far

The Baltimore Ravens will face the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round. One reason for Baltimore's success is Lamar Jackson; what is his playoff record?

The Baltimore Ravens finished the 2023 regular season as the best team in the AFC, earning a first-round bye in the playoffs. A big reason for their success has been MVP-hopeful QB Lamar Jackson.

With Jackson and the Ravens looking to make a Super Bowl run, they’re going to have to win their way through the conference. What is Jackson’s playoff record?

Lamar Jackson’s Road to the NFL Playoffs

Jackson was born January 7, 1997, in Pompano Beach, FL. He attended Boynton Beach High School, where he threw for 2,263 yards, 31 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in two seasons. He also rushed for 1,624 yards and 22 touchdowns on 192 attempts.

After his high school career, he committed to the University of Louisville, where he cemented his collegiate legacy. In three seasons with the Cardinals, Jackson passed for 9,043 yards, 69 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. He also rushed for 4,132 yards and 50 touchdowns. This culminated with the QB winning the Heisman Trophy in 2016.

Following college, Jackson was drafted with the 32nd overall pick by the Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft. He came in behind QB Joe Flacco, whom he eventually replaced.

In his career, Jackson has passed for 15,887 yards, 125 touchdowns, and 45 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 5,258 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Jackson has made three Pro Bowls and been named a First-Team All-Pro twice and NFL Most Valuable Player once. Following this year’s regular season, he is the betting favorite to win the MVP award once again. In his career, Jackson has started 77 games, going 58-19. However, he’s just 1-3 in the playoffs.

The first playoff game of his career came in the 2018-19 season against the Los Angeles Chargers. In that game, L.A. won 23-17. Jackson went 14-of-29 for 194 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed nine times for 54 yards and was sacked seven times.

The second playoff game of his career came in the Divisional Round of the 2019-20 season. The Tennessee Titans took down the Ravens 28-12, ending what was a 14-3 season for Baltimore. Jackson finished 31-of-59 for 365 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He also rushed 20 times for 143 yards.

The third came the following year in the Wild Card round. The Ravens and Jackson got revenge on the Titans, winning 20-13. In the game, Jackson completed 17 of his 24 attempts for 179 yards and one interception. He also carried the ball 16 times for 136 yards and one touchdown.

Finally, Jackson’s most recent playoff game came in the Divisional Round of that same year. The Ravens fell to the Buffalo Bills 17-3. Jackson went 14-of-24 for 162 yards and one interception. He also rushed nine times for 34 yards.

The Ravens made the playoffs again in the 2022-23 season, but Jackson was hurt and did not play. The team ended up losing 24-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals under the lead of backup QB Tyler Huntley. Huntley went 17-of-29 for 226 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also had one fumble returned 99 yards for a touchdown.

This year, the Ravens will start their potential Super Bowl run against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round. The Texans are coming off a dominant 45-14 win over the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card round. The game will kick off Saturday, Jan. 20 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
