Kirk Cousins’ Net Worth: What Is the Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Worth in 2024?

From earnings as an NFL player to commercials and endorsements, what is the net worth of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins?

Kirk Cousins, the talented but reserved NFL star, has opened up to the public a bit more over the last two seasons. Widely viewed as a mild-mannered, “dad-like” personality, Cousins has let his real personality and star power shine as of late, starting with his appearance on Netflix’s series “Quarterback.”

Cousins has taken the opportunity to show his fans who he is off the field as well as the preparation he takes to get ready for game day. However, neither Cousins’ nor the Minnesota Vikings’ season went as planned, with Cousins suffering a torn Achilles tendon that robbed him of most of the year, while the Vikings finished 7-10.

Fast forward to the current day, and Cousins is no longer a member of the Vikings after signing a four-year contract to join the Atlanta Falcons. While being known for his consistent play and quirky personality, another factor commonly associated with Cousins’ is his NFL contracts and how they have been constructed.

Cousins’ and his representatives found ways to load his contracts up with guaranteed money which has helped secure his fortune and his future. With his new home being in Atlanta, let’s take a closer look at Cousins’ net worth.

Kirk Cousins’ Net Worth

According to Wealthy Gorilla, Cousins’ net worth as of March 2024 is a whopping $70 million, with a majority of his wealth being accumulated from his time playing in the NFL.

Over his 12-year career, Cousins has made a substantial amount of money, to the tune of $231 million in that time. The majority of those earnings came from his last couple of deals with the Vikings, and it will increase in total thanks to his new deal with the Falcons.

Off the field, Cousins has had deals with household brand names such as Bose and Nike.

Cousins has even ventured into the breakfast cereal world, where he has made his brand of cereal called “Cousins CinnaMinn Snaps,” but the proceeds earned from the endeavor go to his and his wife’s foundation called “The Kirk and Julie Cousins Foundation.”

Cousins Gets Another Big Payday

In a league where guaranteed money isn’t the norm, almost all of Cousins’ entire salary has been guaranteed for each of the past eight seasons. Cousins’s contracts have been 99% guaranteed over that time which proves that he and his representatives have negotiated staggeringly impressive deals for the quarterback.

With Cousins now starting a new chapter in Atlanta, he is doing so with another big payday. According to multiple reports, the Falcons are giving Cousins a four-year, $180 million deal including $100 million guaranteed. Cousins’ new deal is good for $45 million per average per year.

According to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, “Kirk Cousins has made over $230M in career earnings from his time in Washington and Minnesota and is now signing a 4-year, $180M deal in Atlanta with $100M guaranteed. Should Cousins play out all four years, his career earnings would surpass $400M.”

One thing is for sure — when it comes to contracts, Cousins and his representation have always been exceptional at getting the best value they can.
