Shakir went to the Bills’ bench, where trainers continued to look at him. He appeared to injure his right foot. Shakir’s shoe was off, and he was getting his right ankle taped.
The former fifth-round pick then began to test his ankle by running along the sideline.
Buffalo announced that Shakir is probable to return with an ankle injury.

Fortunately, he was able to return for the Bills’ next offensive series at the start of the third quarter.
Entering Week 3, Shakir led the Bills in targets (14), receptions (14), receiving yards (168), and receiving touchdowns (two).
Fantasy Implications of Shakir’s Injury
Through the first month of the season, Shakir has been the best wide receiver on the Bills. He’s scored double-digit fantasy points in each of his first three games and has been Allen’s most reliable receiver.
If Shakir is forced to miss any time, there wouldn’t be a clear beneficiary. The Bills already rotate their wide receivers a bunch. Curtis Samuel is the player most equipped to do what Shakir does, but so far, the Bills have viewed him as a situational gadget player. I don’t anticipate his role changing much. We would likely see some more snaps from Mack Hollins and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, neither of whom is anywhere near the fantasy radar.
Fortunately, it does appear as though Shakir is dealing with a minor tweak. Fantasy managers can continue treating Shakir like the weekly WR3 he’s been.
