Justin Tucker Salary and Contract: A Look at the Ravens Kicker’s Net Worth

Ravens K Justin Tucker is regarded as one of the best to ever play at his position. What kind of payday has that earned him through his 12-year pro career?

    Published on

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker is widely regarded as one of the best in NFL history.

Tucker made 395 of his 438 career field goal attempts. He holds league records for field goal percentage (90.2%) and hit the longest field goal in league history with a 66-yarder in 2021.

Tucker was predictably excellent again in 2023. Between field goals and extra points combined, he hit 83 of 89 total kicks. He’s been a steadying force for the Ravens for over a decade now. A sure point producer. Not to mention the lone holdover from the team’s last Super Bowl championship-winning team.

They’ll value his playoff experience as they continue their (hopeful) march toward the Super Bowl. And Tucker will very likely continue draining kicks down the middle right on his march toward the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Which begs the question: just how much is a Hall of Fame kicker worth?

What Is Justin Tucker’s Net Worth?

As you’d likely expect based on the info above, Tucker is among the highest-paid players at his position. Tucker’s average annual salary of $6 million is first among kickers (according to Spotrac). Tucker signed a four-year, $24 million extension with Baltimore in August of 2022.

Tucker’s average annual salary is comparable to notable pros like Austin Ekeler ($6.25 million yearly), Darius Slayton ($6 million), Dorance Armstrong ($6 million), Alex Anzalone ($6.1 million), and Jordan Poyer ($6.25 million). Some might consider that compensation exorbitant given the position Tucker plays. After all, he isn’t exposed to the same physicality.

That said, Tucker’s presence is invaluable for Baltimore and has been for some time. He’s accounted for 1,649 points in his career. That’s four times as many points as the 418 Ekeler’s scored in his NFL career. With that in mind, $6 million yearly sounds like a bargain.

Tucker’s career earnings total around $47.5 million. That puts him right in line with big-name modern kickers like Robbie Gould ($47 million), Mason Crosby ($44 million), and Matt Prater ($41 million). After next season, Tucker will surpass perhaps the league’s highest-grossing kicker, Adam Vinatieri. The 23-year veteran and famed Super Bowl hero earned $51 million during his playing days.

Business Insider is one of several sources that lists Tucker’s net worth in the neighborhood of $5 million. Frankly, that seems low, given that he earns more yearly. Nonetheless, Tucker’s pockets aren’t hurting.

And his net worth is only poised to grow in the coming years. After all, a kicker of his caliber could well play another 10 years in the league if he so desires.

Tucker may be expensive as far as kickers go, but every time he drains a kick down the middle, the Ravens are reminded what a bargain he truly is. He’s as unique a weapon as the NFL kicking game has ever seen. Automatic with a big leg to boot. The Ravens would give up an arm and a leg to keep him if they had to.

    Just not Tucker’s leg.
