Justice Hill Fantasy Waiver Wire: Key Stats Why You Should Add Ravens RB

Justice Hill entered the game last week and dominated throughout the entire game. Now, we must make a decision if Hill can replicate that value.

Justice Hill had a mini coming-out party in the debut game of the NFL season for the Ravens. You may not think he had a great game when you see he only rushed for three yards. However, when you notice the receiving column, you notice Hill’s extraordinary stats in Week 1.

He led all running backs with eight targets. He produced the second-most receptions for running backs with six and the third-most receiving yards with 52. TruMedia ranked Hill as the third-highest total of routes from the running back position. Hill created the 15th most yards after catch per reception with 9.8, which is why he looked so electric on every target he received in Week 1.

We must worry about Derrick Henry vulturing touchdowns while also being the main running back, especially within positive game scripts for the Baltimore Ravens. Next week, the Ravens should have a positive script that leans into a run-heavy offense, as they are 9.5-point favorites. As the favorites, the Ravens should lean into their run game and allow Henry to create havoc against the 0-1 Raiders.

The issue with them leaning into their run game is the offensive line. The Ravens’ offensive line struggled mightily in Week 1. The interior offensive line was fragile and allowed the defense in the backfield all game long. If this issue occurs again, the Ravens and Lamar Jackson may need to turn to the check-down passing game, which runs through Hill within this offense.

Should Justice Hill Be Added to the Fantasy Waiver Wire in Week 2?

Hill should absolutely be added to your fantasy roster. We like good players in great offenses. It would be best to look at Hill’s passing game ability in one of the best offenses as a goldmine on your waiver wire. If Hill can run 20 routes a game, you’ll always have a chance for five or more targets within the offense, even if the Ravens are favorites within the game.

John Harbaugh praised Hill throughout training camp, and now it’s paying dividends. He should stay within the coaching scheme every week outside of a blowout.

Next week, the Ravens will face off against a Raiders defense that just let J.K. Dobbins surpass the century mark in rushing yards. If a player coming off two major injuries can create havoc against this defense, a player as electric as Hill can duplicate the same results.

Making Hill your top priority for your fantasy football team in Week 2 and beyond would be best. He is going to take a significant leap in the Consensus Rankings.
