Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love was one of the best values in fantasy football last season. With another year of experience under his belt, how much better will he be this year? Should fantasy managers prioritize taking him in Best Ball drafts?
Jordan Love’s 2024 Fantasy Outlook
For the first month of the 2023 season, it sure looked like Love was a fluke. He was posting big-time fantasy numbers but almost exclusively because of good touchdown fortune. Love was accounting for nearly all of the Packers’ touchdowns. His completion percentage was low, and his peripherals were underwhelming.
What we may not have realized at the time, though, was that Love was getting better on the job. He just happened to produce better than expected while doing it.
Love underwent growing pains over the next month or so. But he was still improving. By the second half of the season, he had morphed into a very, very good quarterback. And the results showed.
Beginning in Week 10, Love took off. He averaged 20.9 fantasy points per game over the remainder of the season. He was the overall QB5 over that span. On the season, Love averaged 19.4 points per game, finishing as the QB5. And it didn’t feel flukey.

Love’s 8.5 intended air yards per attempt was fifth in the league. That willingness to push the ball down the field helped him to have a successful fantasy season.
Despite losing Aaron Rodgers, the Packers remained pass-heavy, especially in the red zone. Love was second in the league with 100 red-zone pass attempts.
Love’s pass-catchers were far from bad, but they were all raw. He finished second with 32 passing touchdowns while throwing to rookie WRs Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, sophomore WRs Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, and rookie TEs Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft.
Love did not have a single veteran outside of Aaron Jones to assist him. It makes what he was able to accomplish all the more impressive.
Should You Draft Love in 2024 Best Ball Leagues?
Other than the loss of Jones, the Packers have a lot of continuity on offense. And we must remember that, despite this being his fifth year in the NFL, Love is only a second-year starter. If he’s this good already, it stands to reason he can be even better in 2024.
Love should also get improved play from his wide receivers. Ideally, Reed sees a larger role along with Wicks. If those three plus Doubs can be staples in three-receiver sets, with Watson playing situationally (mainly near the end zone), Love could be set up for more success.

Love’s ADP is currently QB9. That is well below where he finished last season.
While we shouldn’t assume what happened last year is what will happen this year, there’s little reason to doubt Love can at least repeat last year’s production if not improve upon it.
Fantasy managers should be thrilled at the prospect of selecting Love as late as he’s going in Best Ball drafts. Love is very much the real deal and every bit deserving of being a fantasy QB1.
