A trade to the Detroit Lions shifted Jared Goff’s career trajectory. A solid quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, he elevated himself to the next level when coming to Motor City. It took him a little bit to adjust to the new city and roster. But over the last three seasons, he has solidified himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the league, with the stats to prove his standing.
The shift to Detroit also brought many changes in Goff’s personal life. He has been in a relationship with Christen Harper since 2019 and popped the question soon after his first season with the Lions came to an end. An avid supporter of her husband on the field, Harper keeps track of the league’s ongoings while regularly making trips to watch him in action. This year, though, she has another member who tags along for those trips to the stadium.

Coming into this year, there were some big developments in Goff’s personal and professional life. On the professional front, he was starting the season with a new offensive coordinator, with doubts about how the offense would fare popping up.
On the personal front, the news was infinitely bigger. In July 2025, he welcomed a daughter with Harper. The couple decided to name her Romy Isabelle, and it didn’t take long for the baby girl to catch her father in action.
As Goff has gone to two Pro Bowls and led the Lions to consecutive playoff berths, Harper’s brand on Sports Illustrated has continued to grow. However, even with her hectic career, Harper has made it a point to cheer Goff on from the sidelines at games regularly.
This time around, though, she brought Isabelle along with her. On her Instagram handle, Harper posted a series of snapshots from the day. The first was a picture of the three of them, while the others were a bunch of moments of the two of them on the sidelines.
Captioning the image, “Romy knows ball,” she finally revealed the unique jersey their child was wearing with the words “Daddy” and Goff’s number 16 printed on the back.
Since coming to Detroit, Goff has proposed (2022) and gotten married to Harper (June 2024) in short order. Their first meeting in 2019 was on the private dating app Raya, where the two went from strength to strength while finding success in their individual careers.
