The Jacksonville Jaguars are at a crossroads and a very crucial one. Pulling up their socks for the upcoming season, the Jaguars have freed up space by trading wide receiver Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans.
Now, two-time Pro Bowler Joshua Hines-Allen has hinted that something “big” might be on the way.

Josh Hines-Allen Feels Something Major Is Cooking
“Never seen these many moves being made in Duval. We got something cooking big over here. Can’t wait to see the final result,” Hines-Allen wrote on X.

According to reports, trading Kirk will save up almost $10.44 million in cap space this season. Now, could the Jaguars make a run at another wide receiver: Cooper Kupp or Chris Godwin?
Reflecting on the same, Fox Sports reporter Greg Auman shared, “Jaguars have definitely cleared out roster spots and cap space to add at receiver — I wonder if that’s Kupp-related (Coen spent much more time with Rams than Bucs) as opposed to a push for Godwin.”
While there is a chance that the Jaguars might sign Godwin, Kupp looks to have a better option. Why? Well, the Jaguars’ current head coach, Liam Coen, was the Rams’ assistant wide receivers coach in 2018 where he forged a bond with Kupp.
Meanwhile, he was also an OC with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he came in touch with Godwin. But what turns the matter in Kupp’s favor is that he spent a total of four seasons at the Rams — two as assistant wide receiver coach, one as assistant quarterbacks coach and one as offensive coordinator. Meanwhile, he spent only one season with the Buccaneers.
Plus, Kupp also led the league in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns during the 2021 season, accomplishing the triple-crown feat for the first time in the past 20 years.
Nonetheless, one thing is sure after Hines-Allen hinted at a major roster overhaul: the Jaguars are a team to watch in the coming days, and this could be the season that they right the ship.
