TCU WR Jack Bech Shares Emotional Tribute to Late Brother Ahead of Life-Changing NFL Draft

TCU wide receiver Jack Bech has had a rough road to get to this point and is ready to honor his brother at the 2025 NFL Draft.

Jack Bech isn’t just another wide receiver prospect waiting to hear his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft — he’s carrying something much deeper with him.

The TCU pass catcher brings production, confidence, and an emotional edge into the NFL. Bech’s older brother, Tiger, was one of the victims killed in the New Orleans truck attack on New Year’s Day. Since then, Bech has played every snap and rep with his brother on his mind — and on his body.

Jack Bech Shares Tattoo Tribute for His Brother Tiger

Bech is one of the players waiting to hear their name called in the 2025 NFL Draft. After his brother, Tiger, was killed in the New Orleans truck attack on New Year’s Day, he has dedicated his time and hard work to him. He even has a draft-day tribute for him, displaying it on his wrist.

Bech shared that whichever team decides to select him is getting both he and his brother, as he has two tattoos on the left side of his body honoring his brother.

Bech was projected as the 74th pick in PFN’s Ian Cummings’ seven-round mock draft, landing with the Carolina Panthers. He started his college career at LSU before transferring to TCU, finishing with 133 catches for 1,869 yards and 13 touchdowns. His 2024 breakout season included nine touchdowns and more than 1,000 receiving yards. He also earned MVP honors at the 2024 Senior Bowl.

Bech Is Confident With His Abilities Ahead of the NFL Draft

When asked about his potential, Bech told ESPN’s Jeff Legwold that he’s confident in his skills and willing to outwork anyone.

“I feel like I have the best hands in this draft class. That comes with just a lot of hard work after practice, trying to catch the most Jugs, not only on the team but out of anybody in the country, day in and day out. There wasn’t a practice that I skipped, where I wasn’t out there catching extra Jugs balls. That’s just where my confidence comes from.”

Bech didn’t post a 500-yard season until 2024, but he’s been climbing up draft boards since. Scouts love his precise route running, and he’s gaining attention as a reliable target who can line up in multiple spots. PFSN’s Jacob Infante praised Bech in his scouting report:

“He’s a big, physical weapon who competes hard at the catch point and has the hands and ball skills needed to make catches in contested catch situations. Whether it’s out wide or in the slot, he’s capable of coming down with most throws that come his way,” Infante said.

“Bech is a smart football player with good spatial awareness as a route runner. He does a good job of working himself open against zone coverage, and his intelligence allows him to serve as a reliable security blanket possession receiver.”

Bech could fill a need for several teams as a tough, secondary receiver with upside.
