When Can Rome Odunze Declare for the NFL Draft?

As a junior, Odunze is eligible to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft, and he is expected to be one of the top receivers taken early in the first round.

Odunze has been in college for four seasons, meaning he qualifies for the NFL Draft. The eligibility rules state a player has to have been out of high school for three seasons to meet the criteria to turn pro.

The standout receiver was already viewed as one of the top receivers in the nation. However, an outstanding 2023 season has rocketed him to contention as an early first-round player.

In the 2023 season, Odunze has caught 87 passes for 1,553 yards and 13 touchdowns before the 2023-2024 National Championship.

Since joining Washington in 2020, Odunze has put up massive numbers and has accounted for 209 receptions, 3,185 yards, and 24 TDs. This incredible production means Odunze is challenging the top of the wide receiver class to be one of the first drafted.

The 2024 wide receiver class is stacked at the top, and the whole draft is packed full of potential superstars. Marvin Harrison Jr. headlines the group and is widely expected to be one of the first prospects off the board, but Odunze’s draft stock has continued to increase as he challenges Malik Nabers as the potential WR2 in this class.
