    Is There Friday Night Football Tonight? Breaking Down the Week 3 Schedule

    With one game down in Week 3 of the NFL season, is there a Friday night game? Check out the remaining Week 3 schedule.

    “Thursday Night Football” is already in the rearview mirror for Week 3 of the NFL season — now we’re on to Friday. With a long lineup of games still left, there are still 30 teams left to play. Will there be a Friday night game, though? Let’s dive into the rest of Week 3.

    Are There Any NFL Games Today?

    Following the season opener, the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Brazil for a Friday night game to get the season going. The Eagles went on to win that game, 34-29.

    However, Packers quarterback Jordan Love went down with an injury late that forced him to miss Week 2. He could return in Week 3 or 4, though.

    Despite all of that, there was no Friday night game in Week 2 and there won’t be one in Week 3. There will be another one before the season is over, with the NFL having a Black Friday game on Nov. 29. Aside from that, there will be no more Friday night games this season.

    Thursday night’s game between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots was not necessarily an exciting watch, as the Jets dominated the Patriots. New York finished the game up 24-3, not allowing a single touchdown.

    Quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the Jets had his best game in years. He threw 35 passes, completing 27 of them for 281 yards and two touchdowns. He also had three rushing attempts for 18 yards. The team’s leading receiver was tight end Tyler Conklin, who caught five passes for 93 yards.

    On the Patriots side, Jacoby Brissett had just 98 passing yards before Drake Maye entered and notched 22 of his own. Antonio Gibson led the team in rushing with 29 yards.

    Remaining Week 3 Schedule

    For Sunday night, the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes will once again be on prime time, traveling to Atlanta to face the Falcons and Kirk Cousins, who were just on prime time Monday night.

    After that, Monday night will be a double-header. First, at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Buffalo Bills will host the Jacksonville Jaguars. Then, at 8:15 p.m. ET, the Cincinnati Bengals will host the Washington Commanders. Both the Bengals and Jaguars are looking for their first wins of the season.
