Caleb Williams’ on-field outing on Thanksgiving was spoiled by a loss against the Detroit Lions. The quarterback ended the game throwing for 256 yards and three touchdowns.
However, the Chicago Bears player must have been delighted by the holiday preparations done at home by his girlfriend Alina Thyregod. She provided a sneak peek for fans as well.
Alina Thyregod, Caleb Williams Share Holiday Celebrations
The Bears’ hopes of making the playoffs in Willams’ rookie year are all but over with the loss against the Lions. However, Thyregod did not let that get in the way of the couple celebrating the holiday.
She took to her TikTok to document this special day and shared several pictures in a montage. Thyregod showed off her outfit for the Thanksgiving matchup along with a sideline view of Ford Field with a friend.
She had also uploaded several pictures of her life in Chicago, which prompted Williams to comment, “Chicago living,” on the post. Thyregod showed off their decorated Christmas tree along with stockings hung over the fireside.
Williams Opens Up on Injury Scare Against the Lions
While the game against the Lions ended in a heartbreak for Bears fans, it could have gone far worse. In the third quarter, Williams picked up the first down after a nine-yard scramble and was close to the sideline. Lions linebacker Jack Campbell dove straight at Williams’ knee in a tackle attempt.
“I didn’t really appreciate the play; he kind of just dove straight at my knee, I didn’t really get that,” Williams said after the game. “Definitely kind of frustrated about that one. But, yeah, the knee is good, nothing wrong with it. The play was funky.”
Williams is injury-free and expected to be available to face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Dec. 8 for their Week 14 game. The Bears will have a new head coach for this game, interim HC Thomas Brown.
